The Rainbow After the Storm - 100 WC week #17

The Rainbow After the Storm

The glass shattered in the kitchen as they ran upstairs into their bedroom.  Joshua and NiƱo hid under the bed for protection in case the roof fell.  The storm was the strongest storm they had ever experienced in their lives.  They could hear their parents run up the stairs.  The doors were swung wide open and they saw their parents rush in.  They all hid under the bed for eight hours.  During those hours, they could hear glass breaking and thunder.  As the weather changed they went out of the room and looked outside. The storm had passed and left a rainbow overlooking the destruction.

Kidnapped

Kidnapped

I paced back and forth.  What should I do?  I have not done anything wrong.  These people probably kidnaped me for ransom.  My parents are millionaires.  I looked around the wooden room they locked me in.  I stare at a wooden plank that looks like it was placed improperly.  I walk up to it and peel it right off revealing an opening I could crawl out.  I run out into the forest besides the house.  I turn around and I looked in front and behind.  Which way?  I went forwards.  I kept running and running until I found a road.  I followed it, it hopes of being saved.

Camping

                                          Camping

I walked through the forest with no care of where I was heading.  I stopped in my tracks and put down my bag.  I unloaded my camping equipment and set up the tent.  When I was done with the tent, I noticed that it was getting dark so I started gathering the nearby sticks for fire.  I was walking back to my tent when I saw a funny shaped branch. I ignored it and kept walking and when I was finally close to my camp site, I heard an owl noise coming from the branch. As I turned around it changed shape from a branch into an owl.

Fire!

Fire!

As I walked up the building stairs and I saw a crocodile picture posted up on a bulletin board. I did not think of this anymore for I was too distracted of the orange flames reflecting off my glasses and because of the alarm going off. I turned around to find flames rising in the building. It shattered the glass in front of me and I felt the heat pouring out. I was within the fire’s grasp until the floor beneath, collapsed bringing the fire with it. With the fire still burning, I ran down the wide stairs and I went out the building.
